So today is a good day for me. I’ve just found out that Ty Forquer has programmed Cellular Hallucinations for a tentative performance at (SCENE) Metrospace on February 12th, 2010. The program is scheduled to include works by Nate Bliton, Dave MacDonald, and Phillip Sink. More details will go up as they become available.
I just got word yesterday that Gestalt Variations will be performed on December 5th at the 12 Nights Electronic Music and Art Festival. For those of you who are following the festival – yes, it is on the “horror” night. If you’re in the Miami area that day, the concert takes place at the Harold Golen Gallery from noon to 5pm. Details on the location are on the Events page. The mp3 can be found on the Audio page.
I’m finally done with the draft of Chthonic Fragments for symphonic band. The quick breakdown – 21 instruments, 35 pages, 292 measures, and a grand total of 9.5 minutes. I’ve lost track of the amount of coffee that went into its creation, but it was probably [definitely] a lot. It’s big.
Now, time for some sleep before I get up and head to Mississippi and EAJJ tomorrow.
I’ve added a recording of Sirens to the audio page. Thanks again to Isoa Chapman for taking on such a difficult piece – and playing the hell out of it. Enjoy.
